How Do I Know if My Boots Fit?

Great question!  Many snow boots do not fit exactly the same way your street shoes and sneakers do ~ that can be confusing.  Snow boots that are very warm and meant for super cold conditions have a larger base to keep your foot protected from the cold ground and more insulation to keep you warm.  The downside is that a bulkier boot may result in some heel slip.  Boots that are too tight will give you cold feet so a little extra space isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Tips for Fit Testing Winter Boots

  • Be sure that your boots come to room temperature before you try them on.
  • It's normal for a winter boot to feel tight at first.  The insulation will typically open up, especially in the width.  Be sure to keep the boots in brand new condition, but spend some time wearing them in your home to test whether you feel them conforming to your foot.
  • Just sitting at your desk or watching tv helps to test if this boot is a good match for your foot.
  • If you decide to return your boots, we appreciate if you return the stuffing inside the boots and clean any dust from them.

If you don't love your boots, you can return them in brand new condition within 30 days of delivery!  

If you live in the US 48, please complete the form below to return via our pre-paid label.  ($7.50 will be deducted from your refund for the first pair, $5.00 per additional pairs.)

  • Your return label will arrive via e-mail within 1 business day.
  • If you do not see your return label, please check your spam folder.
  • You may drop your package at any UPS (800-742-5877) service center or any USPS post office, depending on which label is provided.
  • Pickup service is not included and will incur an additional fee or deduction from your refund.

Return Policy 

Returns Must Be in Brand New Condition!

  • Use an outer box. Boots shipped in their brand box or returned without a brand box will be returned to sender.  
  • Merchandise must be in its brand box, in pristine condition, unworn, and with all original packaging with tags attached.
  • Do not store merchandise in a home with cigarette smoke.  Even if unworn, items smelling of smoke cannot be accepted for return.
  • Boots must be free of pet hair and debris.
  • WinterBoots.com reserves the right to refuse returns/exchanges that do not meet these conditions.

Returns are typically inspected and processed by our warehouse within three business days of delivery. A credit is then issued to the original form of payment within seven business days. Please note: depending on your credit card company's policies, it may take additional time for the funds to be posted to your account. For exchanges, your new boots will be shipped as soon as your returned boots are inspected and processed, typically within three business days, if not sooner!

All of our products are top quality and carry a 
manufacturer's warranty which varies from brand to brand.   In the rare occurrence that your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us to arrange a replacement.

We do not refund any shipping fees for domestic, expedited, or international orders.

Items that are not returnable include those marked FINAL SALE (you'll see this clearly in the product listing), items beyond 45 days from delivery, and Baffin replacement liners.
