Snow Boots for College Students
Posted on Nov 14, 2016 by WinterBoots
College students are notoriously impractical about their footwear. Sending your favorite campus dweller a care package from WinterBoots.com greatly increases the odds that Sperrys aren't the footwear of choice on slick and snowy walkways. At least some of the time.
The truth remains that as often as parents plead with their reasonably grown up children to make good choices, they'll never know if they actually do stay in a group after dark, or attend those stadium sized Psych 101 lectures. Fall is the perfect time of year for us to ship a pair of boots direct to the dorm - a gentle nudge from mom to use common sense while running full throttle across the ice laden quad en route to an 8 am lab.
If you're not sure your child will find your good taste in line with your good intentions, you'll be happy to discover our compilation of popular winter boots across the collegiate circuit.
Our requirements to add winter boots to the campus collection weren't entirely scientific. Beginning with the assumption that any footwear not intended for boats or skateboards was a step in the right direction, we compiled our Campus Collection of winter boots that college students have been known to wear. The boots encompass varying degrees of traction and insulation. Some are much more practical than others, but all have at least a waterproof base for dry feet.
For our college coeds, we have trendy cold weather boot options from Sorel and Timberland to practical, inexpensive snow boots from Kamik and Baffin.
College boys favor Timberlands for their cold weather gear, but as a general rule, like low key winter boots that can be, but rarely will be, laced, or an easy pull-on snow boot. Please feel free to contact us if you need any help making your final decision. We're happy to help!
